Extended Abstract
1. Problem Statement
The crisis of spirituality in cities and human settlements in the contemporary era is one of the concerns of thinkers and is also considered one of the most important human challenges. The loneliness and helplessness of man in the contemporary world and his turning to cyberspace and its undesirable consequences on the soul and body of man, as well as the vast and confusing world of information, have caused the decline of spirituality in the present era. Religion and spirituality balance man in thought, speech and behavior so that man tries to provide for the common good and ensure a healthy family to create a pure and prosperous society and each individual can easily achieve his natural and legitimate rights. "O mankind, there has come to you an admonition from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts and a guidance and mercy for the believers" (Surah An-Nur: 4): O mankind, there has come to you an admonition from your Lord that is a source of healing and peace of mind and a mercy and guidance for the believers. Religion and spirituality balance a person's thoughts, speech, and behavior so that a person tries to provide for the common good and ensure a healthy family to create a clean and prosperous society and each person can easily achieve their natural and legitimate rights.
Museums of Sacred Defense and the Imposed War, as one of the most important cultural, political, and social events in the country's contemporary history, are a valuable opportunity and field that can enhance the identity and spirituality of cities and regions of Iran. Combining these fields with the art, profession, and knowledge of urban design in different regions can provide places of memory, ritual, and tourism for tourists. Removing dust from the valuable areas of Sacred Defense in places of memory in historical, cultural, social, physical, and semantic dimensions is considered the most important task.
In this regard, the most important question of the article is "What are the principles, necessities, and strategies for developing tourism in Sacred Defense museums with an approach to promoting spirituality?" Also, in conducting this research, sub-questions will be answered, which are: A- What are the importance and dimensions of spirituality and tourism of Sacred Defense museums? B- What are the tourism strategies of Sacred Defense museums in Iranian cities?

The aim of this article is to identify the Sacred Defense museums in Iran in order to develop tourism in these places, based on the contexts and values of the Sacred Defense. This research is conducted using the method of historical, analytical and interdisciplinary research and using documentary, library and case study methods. Considering the objectives, questions and research method, the process of conducting this research will be as follows: explaining the necessity of spirituality, explaining and analyzing Sacred Defense tourism in Iran, and summarizing and drawing conclusions.
3. Findings and Results
One of the problems of the city and citizens in the contemporary era is the lack or shortage of spirituality and spiritual spaces. In other words, cities, with their functionalism and mere attention to daily needs and tasks, have become consumer-oriented and performance-oriented people who are vulnerable to increasing problems and crises in real and virtual spaces in terms of identity and spirit. Therefore, paying attention to spirituality in individual and collective life as well as in the city and urban planning is necessary and significant. One of the policies for increasing spirituality in the city and citizens, especially in the new generations, is to increase cultural spaces with the Iranian Islamic model. War and Sacred Defense Museums, as spiritual spaces, have a positive impact on the attitude and behavioral patterns of citizens and transform them into defenders of the homeland and lovers of the land. Visits by students and tourists to these museums can have a positive impact on the spirituality of cities and the city is promoted to double spirituality. Preserving and spreading the spirit of sacrifice and martyrdom not only plays a significant role in increasing human perfection, but also guarantees the immunity and protection of society against the devils; and although Islamic values also find their expression in this regard in a way. Nevertheless, although during the formation of the glorious Islamic Revolution and during the Holy Defense era, the atmosphere of society was filled with the desire to be martyred and killed in the way of God, various methods are used to promote the culture of martyrdom and sacrifice. The most important foundations and pillars of the Holy Defense museums include the sanctity and God-centeredness of defending the homeland and divine values, which lead to the identity of the city and Islamic society. In the design of the Holy Defense museums, the language of art can be effective and useful in expressing the attractive and beautiful values of the Holy Defense. The Holy Defense museums are a place for remembering and recreating the memories of the Holy Defense and promoting their revival. These places serve as a place for tourists from different groups with a focus on knowledge-building, which strengthens the continuity of the memories of the Sacred Defense in the context of the citizens' lives.
