Cyberspace, as a pervasive phenomenon in the digital age, creates a dream-like experience that transcends time and space, which can be measured against the concept of ‘Connected Imagination’ in Transcendent Wisdom. This space, characterized by interactivity, boundlessness, and dynamism, has dual effects on human spiritual health. This research aims to provide a philosophical analysis of Cyberspace as a connected digital imagination and to examine its impacts on spiritual health, offering a framework for the spiritual utilization of technology.
In this study, using a descriptive method, the concepts of connected imagination, Cyberspace, and spiritual health, and their relationship, are elucidated from the perspective of Transcendent Wisdom, and the resulting data are subjected to philosophical analysis.
Based on the findings, Cyberspace enhances spiritual health through access to religious resources (Quranic software, online lectures, and virtual religious communities). However, factors such as digital distraction, superficial human relationships, technology addiction, and non-theological pseudo-spiritualities (contemporary spiritualities and unreliable content) threaten this health.
In conclusion, A conscious use of Cyberspace, based on the principles of self-purification, practical reason, and wisdom frameworks, enhances spiritual health.

Extended Abstract
1. Introducton
Cyberspace, as one of the prominent achievements of modern technology, has not only transformed the ways of human perception, interaction, and self-awareness but has also become a realm for redefining spiritual experiences in the contemporary world. This space, characterized by placelessness, timelessness, interactivity, and the ability to create virtual realities, creates a dream-like experience that transcends material limitations and leads humanity into a world of images, meanings, and digital communications. Such an experience bears a remarkable resemblance to the concept of “Connected Imagination” in Transcendent Wisdom. Mulla Sadra considers Connected Imagination as an intermediary realm between sense and intellect that creates immaterial mental images and, when conditions are met, and it is aligned with the guidance of practical reason, acts as a bridge for self-awareness and proximity to God. He believes that Connected Imagination, by mediating between matter and meaning, guides humans to comprehend transcendent truths and strengthen their existential connection with the source of being. Precisely within this framework, Cyberspace, as a digitally connected imagination, can provide a foundation for spiritual experiences.
So far, several studies have been conducted regarding the relationship between the power of imagination and Cyberspace, which are generally based on Transcendent Wisdom. Ameli and colleagues (1403) in their work “Explaining the Role of Imagination in Shaping the Identity of Social Media Users with Emphasis on Video Games,” utilized the theory of simulation and the concept of hyperreality in Baudrillard’s thought, and by revisiting the place of imagination in identity construction based on Transcendent Wisdom, they sought to trace the prominent role of this faculty in the process of consuming social media and digital games and explain how it influences the identity of participants. Oraki and colleagues (1401) analyzed the impact of Cyberspace based on Allameh Tabatabai’s theory of credibility and concluded that Cyberspace, with a nature beyond the realm of senses and closer to the realm of imagination, accelerates the process of creating illusory meanings in the mind and influences human thoughts and actions by directing credal perceptions.
Ganjour (1400), in an article titled “Realizing Cyberspace,” provided a philosophical analysis of virtual reality with an emphasis on the foundations of Transcendent Wisdom. He proved that virtual reality resembles a form of existence referred to as “the realm of imagination” or “the realm of quantitative forms”; because aside from the differences and distinctions between these two phenomena, the foundation of virtual reality is also based on numbers and quantitative forms, and in this dimension of existence, like the realm of imagination, there is no presence of matter.
Sepehri and Bagheri (1403) also stated in a writing that, according to Transcendent Wisdom, the expansion of human presence in the realm occurs in one of the forms of the union of knowledge and the known or existential intensification; an expansion that is not reliant on anything other than human existence. However, cyberspace, due to its comprehensive reliance on the other, cannot be the same presence that we recognize in its traditional sense. The authors also noted that considering that cyberspace is formed under the realm of credibility, it leads to preoccupation with the other and further immersion of humans in the realm of credibility, resulting in neglect of oneself, and is always accompanied by signs of an absent presence, such as reduced awareness, neglect of surroundings, and distraction. Nevertheless, one cannot overlook the significant role of cyberspace in strengthening and enhancing certain human faculties, especially the power of imagination.
Bagheri (1402), in his thesis “The Capacity of Sadrian Philosophy in Analyzing the Anthropological Challenges of Cyberspace,” examined its positive and negative dimensions and concluded that virtual space exacerbates nihilism. He identified factors such as imitation, lack of direct and existential relationships with God, and cyberspace distraction as negatively impacting the user’s faith; however, on the other hand, he regarded virtual space as capable of preparing and enabling humans in strengthening the power of imagination and cyberspace presence for experiencing true presence, thus helping the virtual human in anthropological challenges. In another article, Lotfi and Salavati (1399) also managed to evaluate the internal possibilities of Mulla Sadra’s philosophy in confronting the nihilism of Cyberspace.
This research aims to provide a philosophical analysis of Cyberspace as a digital connected imagination and examine its impacts on spiritual health, offering a new framework for the spiritual utilization of technology. The questions addressed in the following writing include:
• Considering some foundations of Transcendent Wisdom regarding practical wisdom and the abstraction and functionality of the human imagination, does virtual space enhance or jeopardize human spiritual health?
• From the perspective of Sadrian wisdom, how can the capacities of Cyberspace be utilized to guide connected imagination toward spiritual growth and prevent its dangers?
• What is the role of connected imagination in self-awareness, growth, and spiritual health from the viewpoint of Transcendent Wisdom, and how does Cyberspace reconstruct or distort this role?
In this study, the authors applied a descriptive-analytical method to explore the fundamental concepts of the research from the perspective of Transcendent Wisdom. Accordingly, connected imagination as a realm beyond matter, its role in spiritual growth and self-cultivation, the dangers of connected imagination, the necessity of guiding it, and the nature of Cyberspace were studied. In this regard, the shared and differing characteristics of connected imagination and Cyberspace were also identified. Subsequently, the concept of spiritual health in Socratic wisdom was addressed. Following this, the relationship between spiritual health in Transcendent Wisdom and connected imagination was clarified. In the next stage, the dual positive and negative impacts of Cyberspace on the spiritual health of users were expressed, and finally, these impacts were analyzed.
2. Findings and Results
The findings of this research indicate that Cyberspace, depending on how it is used and guided by practical reason, can either enhance or undermine spiritual health. The opportunities offered by Cyberspace include access to digital religious resources, such as virtual pilgrimages, Quranic applications, and religious lectures, which facilitate the strengthening of heartfelt presence, self-awareness, and connection with God. These resources, by simulating spiritual experiences like visiting sacred places or studying mystical texts, activate the imagination toward self-discovery and closeness to God. From the perspective of Transcendent Wisdom, this process aligns with the inherent movement of humanity, in which the soul ascends toward divine perfection through contemplation of spiritual forms.
However, Cyberspace also presents serious challenges to spiritual health. Digital addiction, superficial human relationships, and the proliferation of non-theological pseudo-spiritualities divert the mind and heart from the truth and lead to negligence. These challenges hinder the soul’s movement toward absolute truth by scattering the imagination and weakening practical reason. Therefore, it can be said that Cyberspace, as a digitally connected imagination, holds significant potential for enhancing spiritual health, provided it is utilized with the guidance of practical reason and divine intention. This research demonstrates that through the conscious and creative design of digital tools, the threats posed by virtual space can be transformed into opportunities for self-discovery, closeness to God, and the revival of the heart. This approach, based on Transcendent Wisdom and mystical teachings, not only helps contemporary humans experience spirituality in the digital age but also paves the way for integrating technology and divine wisdom toward human flourishing.
